Legally Blonde the Musical is going on tour and Urban Pup are going with them! The tour kicks off a the Liverpool Empire on the 8th of July and travel the length and breadth of the country and Urban Pup will there with them all the way dressing Bruiser in all his favourite outfits for the shows entire run.

The show is based on the 2001 Hollywood film in which Reese Witherspoon played California sorority girl Elle Woods, the show is directed by Tony Award-winning and Olivier Award-nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell.

College sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods doesn’t take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School accompanied by her loveable Chihuahua, Bruiser.

Howard Panter, joint chief executive of producers and theatre owners Ambassador Theatre Group said: “ATG’s co-production of Legally Blonde The Musical is enjoying great success on the West End and we have now decided to take it out on its first ever UK tour so regional audiences who can’t make it to London can experience this fantastic show. The Liverpool Empire is one of ATG’s largest regional houses and this grand venue will make a fitting home for the premiere of a tour which is set to replicate the success of the West End run. I am sure Liverpool people will take Elle Woods to their hearts and give her the warm welcome that the city is so famous for.”

The Urban Pup team has been working flat out with the shows wardrobe department to ensure that Bruiser is dressed to impress with an entire new range of clothes and accessories for his exciting road trip, the show will be continuing its run in London’s West End so we now have two Bruiser to dress which is just great as we love working with all the fantastic people who make the show happen.

From 11 July 2011 Carley Stenson will play college sweetheart Elle Woods in the Olivier award-winning show and, Carley, who is currently playing Margot in the West End production, steps up to play the leading role joining Lee Mead who joins the cast later this month (20 June) to play Emmett Forrest and Natalie Casey as ditzy beautician Paulette Buonofonté. Peter Davison continues in the role of Professor Callahan as well as Nicola Brazil as Serena and Siobhan Dillon as Vivienne.

But as we all know the real stars of the show are Bruiser the Chihuahua and his Bulldog side kick Rufus, they hog the limelight every time they make an appearance on stage, so if you can’t get to London to see this fantastic show it will be coming to a theatre near you in the near future.
