Eight of the cast from Legally Blonde are running in the London Race for Life this Sunday 3rd of July to raise awareness and to raise funds towards research that will help people beat breast cancer. The girls who pack in eight shows a week, Monday though to Saturday, amazingly still have enough energy left for a 5K run.

Urban Pup is backing them to go all the way and to make sure they stand out from the crowd we have supplied them with pink matching t-shirts featuring a Legally Blonde logo in Glitter Pink. The thing we have not said is that there are actually nine team members, Susan McFadden’s Maltese, Stevie, is primed and pumped and ready to go in his matching Legally Blonde t-shirt.

Cast member Dawn Sievewright started the ball rolling by contacting Urban Pup to see if we could help, as pet partners to the show we were more than happy to jump in and do what we could to help the girls achieve their target, leaving that aside it is for a good cause and we are delighted that Dawn asked us to get involved.

Below we have an exclusive quote from Stevie who reckons the girls will be no match for him and will spend the entire race watching his tail disappearing into the distance. Don’t tell him but we think Susan will have him on a lead, hopefully this won’t cause a problem as things are already tense because Stevie is not happy about the amount of time Susan spends with Bruiser, but that’s show business for you!

Hi guys! I’m Stevie the pup! and my mum is the currently treading the boards as leading lady Elle Woods in ‘Legally Blonde The Musical’ but this Sunday we are bringing the PINK to Blackheath Common, so get in touch with your inner PINK and come along and support us. Mum and her crazy friends are dragging me along dressed up in pink to trot 5K in aid of Cancer Research, I even have my own doggy sized t-shirt identical to Mum’s, so, In your face Bruiser!

Now, see all that singing and dancing and leaping about that my Mum and her friends do on stage, well it is all an act, off stage they are all very reserved girls who would never dream of asking for donations, so I will instead.
